We have a busy week this week! The Book Fair is all week in the Media Center. Also, Back to School Night is Tuesday from 6 to 7:30. Friday morning is Muffins for Moms from 7:20 to 8:20. Hope to see everyone this week.

Wasn't the dance Friday night fun!! I sold lots of pizza, candy, and juice. I hope you had a chance to stop by.
The students are enjoying learning about the Wizard of Oz. It's a great book full of lots of surprises, and the students are enjoying learning about the characters. We are linking our science and social studies with the Wizard of Oz by learning about weather and geography.
If you have any empty shoeboxes, we could use them in class. The students are going to decorate them as a container to hold their books they bring home from class.
Wow! It's that time again! Time for shopping for school supplies and getting up early. I know I did lots of shopping to get ready for my first graders.
I am so excited for this year! We had a great first week learning routines and procedures. I will keep you updated about what's going on in the classroom and at Joseph Martin Elementary. Be on the lookout for our first newsletter.
